Kevin and Marsha Bennett of B&B Custom T's in Alton, IL
Once an embroidery company makes a mistake on a customers order they usually have a brand new piece of clothing that cannot be sold. The clothing usually is tossed into a box and sits there until someone figures out what to do with it.
Kevan and Marsha Bennett of B&B's Costum T's in Alton, Illinois came up with a brilliant idea that helps them and helps the missions efforts of Joy of a Child. Each article of clothing with an embroidery mistake that cannot be sold is donated to Joy of a Child and is sent to help clothe those in need.

When Marsha and her husband Kevin attended a workshop with several other embroidery company owners Marsha shared her suggestion with them. The speaker for the workshop was Ginny Fineberg, owner of Sandpiper Embroidery in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey.

Ginny also ended up being a columnist for Stitches Magazine, a publication with over 70,000 subsribers worldwide! She took Marsha's suggestion and wrote about it in her article. Within days of the article being published, the UPS man started delivering boxes of clothing to Joy of a Child from embroidery companies across the U.S. that had read Ginnys article.

Joy of a Child would like to express their appreciation to Kevin and Marsha Bennett, Ginny Fineberg, and all the embroidery companies that have sent their embroidery mistakes to us.
