Honduras is a Central American nation located south of Guatemala and north of Nicaragua.

As we arrived at La Ceiba airport in Honduras our team was answering the call to go into all the world to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:15)

Over the next five days we would minister to over 700 people, bringing God's love and encouragement to residents of La Ceiba, Sonaguera, and Tocoa, Honduras.

Everyone we met found a special place in our hearts. They were very gracious and opened their homes, churches, and schools to welcome us.

During most of our trip we experienced rainfall from the outer bands of Hurricane Wilma, positioned to the northeast of our location, but never once did we let the weather stop us from carrying out our God given assignment.

We were blessed and at times brought to tears as one by one we saw men, women, and little children come from every direction in the pouring rain, down muddy roads, some barefooted, to experience the presence of God.

There were no walls to the church where we ministered in Tocoa, Honduras, we just stood under a metal roof supported by six concrete columns, singing praises to the Lord as the rain fell.

It was so wonderful to see the hunger that these people had for God. Every night after services we loaded the bus to take some of them home. The bus would be filled with more singing. Everyone would join in. There was so much joy in their singing, no one wanted the night to end.

There were many opportunities to share the Gospel through testimonies, skits, VBS, bible studies, and the preaching of God's word.

At one point during the trip, when our bus became stuck in mud, the Lord opened up an opportunity to share Jesus with a woman who lived nearby.

Our team was chosen by God for this assignment. It was a great blessing to work beside each one of them and see the gifts that God has placed in their lives being used to make a glorious difference in the lives of the people of Honduras for Jesus Christ and the Father's glory.

It was a "JOY" to serve with them...
