No
matter where we have traveled in the world we always enjoy finding
Christian brothers and sisters that love Jesus with all their heart.
We traveled to El Salvador to visit a Pastor and his wife who had
just moved there to establish a church and a medical clinic. |
When
we visited El Salvador we found a great love for
the Savior in the hearts of the people we met there. |
| In
2001, a devastating earthquake affected much of the country. Many
towns and villages are still trying to rebuild, but the work has
been very slow. |
As
I was observing the damage to one of the buildings a young man in
his 20's approached me mumbling something. We were not able to understand
what he was saying in English or in Spanish, but we could tell that
something was troubling this young man.
He was quite drunk and I asked those

me to lay hands on him and by the Spirit of God we prayed that the
bondage this man was in through his addiction to alcohol would be
broken over his life.
Within three weeks of returning to America, we were told that the
young man become one of the first converts to the new church
there. After his addiction to alcohol ceased, it was discovered
that he had an incredible gift. He was an artist and has since began
helping to paint the new church!! |

Children near a town we visited in El Salvador

We
were blessed by the those we met in El Salvador. The children at
one location really touched our hearts. At first they seemed to
be very curious about us, but were all smiles by the time we left.
In a home we visited a meal was prepared for us. The woman cooked
on an open fire. There was no ceiling for her kitchen because the
earthquake in 2001 had destroyed it. |
|
Pray for the nation of El Salvador and pray for this new church
and it's pastors that a great revival would come to their community
and the surrounding area. |

A meal was prepared for us
in the home we visited.
